Improving the professional development opportunities in the Apitherapy sector in terms of health – APIHEALTH project

The APIHEALTH project aims to train agriculture and food engineers, medical staffs, beekeepers and the relevant professional groups. The overall objective is to raise awareness of people about the importance and benefits of pollen, propolis, and honey to address specific health conditions.

Moreover, the APIHEALTH project aims to promote the utility of the final products in terms of hive for health, healing and to demonstrate scientifically the effects of these products based on e-learning teaching materials.

The APIHEALTH project promotes entrepreneurship education for developing active citizenship, employability, development of new business ideas and to support the future learning and career pathways for individuals, in accordance with their personal and professional development.

The project is based on six Intellectual Outputs (IO), namely:

IO1: „Training methodology”

IO2: „Curriculum of the apitherapy course”

IO3: „Training content”

IO4: „E-learning platform”

IO5: „Pilot testing course”

IO6: „Handbook”

Within the IO6, the project partners developed an Handbook in order to help understand and provide knowledge about apitherapy by providing advanced but easy-to-understand content. The Handbook aims to provide agriculture and food engineers, medical staff, beekeepers, and the related professional groups with relevant information about the use of the products of the hive for health and promote and demonstrate the effects of these products. The Handbook contains training content, divided into individual modules, Good practice examples related to specific bee products and Glossary with terms used in the handbook content.
